Dr James Woollard is a consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. In 2014 he was a Clinical Leadership Fellow with Dr Geraldine Strathdee, the National Clinical Director for Mental Health at NHS England. He has a special interest in the use of technology in clinical practice.
Dr Josie Jenkinson is currently a higher specialist trainee and clinical lecturer in Old Age Psychiatry. She is a past chair of the Psychiatry Trainees Committee (2011) and is currently completing a PhD in service evaluation at Kings College London. She has taught extensively at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
James and Josie first met whilst undertaking their core training in psychiatry in Surrey and subsequently developed the Core Adaptive Skills for CASC course currently run at the Royal College of Psychiatrists . The course began as a local project in 2011 for Core Psychiatry Trainees in Surrey and has been continuously evolving since then. The course currently runs twice a year at the Royal College approximately six weeks before each CASC sitting.
